Nutritional Therapist Bristol

Nutritional Therapist
with a clinic in Bristol and also offering consultations online.

Hi, I am Anita and I am a registered Nutritional Therapist. I enjoy working with a varied mix of people but have a particular interest in supporting women’s hormones, vaginal, gut and urinary health. As a qualified Nutritional Therapist, I am trained to understand how nutrients and other components in food can impact all aspects of human well being and disease. I then apply this knowledge to the individuals I work with. This involves skilled case taking to unpick triggers and drivers, detailed health history and medication reviews, observation, functional testing (where appropriate) and therapeutic interventions in the form of realistic and achievable nutrition and lifestyle plans. Personalised and bespoke for each patients unique needs. I offer inspiration, coaching and resources to help you on your way.

The food we eat has a profound impact on our health. The nutrients we consume are information used to make hormones, create energy, support immunity, brain health, detoxification, optimise gut function and ultimately maintain balance.

Nutritional Therapy can help support a range of chronic health conditions as well as those looking to enhance their overall well-being and optimise health.

If you are struggling with any health concerns I am here so do book a free discovery call to discuss how nutrition might be able to support you.

What is Nutritional Therapy?

Nutritional therapy is the application of nutrition science to human health and wellbeing. It involves using a wide range of tools to assess and identify potential nutritional or physiological imbalances, to understand how they may be contributing to your symptoms.

Nutritional therapy uses food and natural supplements to help support innate healing abilities and for each person their journey will be entirely unique.  Every aspect of my approach to nutritional therapy is bespoke and personalised and can address a wide range of concerns including; digestive symptoms, hormonal imbalance, skin issues (psoriasis, eczema) weight loss, anxiety, fatigue, fertility, autoimmune conditions and much more. All of our bodily functions and processes require a fairly precise array of nutrients and if the diet is not providing these then symptoms can manifest. Equally, ‘one person’s medicine is another’s poison’ and some foods could be aggravating and driving symptoms.

I use a functional medicine approach which represents a shift away from a disease centred approach to health and instead focusses on the whole person, not just an isolated set of symptoms. I spend time with my clients, listening to their stories and looking at the interactions between genetic, environmental and lifestyle factors that can influence long-term health and complex chronic disease.
